i-JAG SMC Field Trip

A group of Sidney i-JAG students participated in an amazing opportunity with a hands on tour of the Shenandoah Medical Center.   Macey Graham , Addy Hanning, Gabi Jacobs, Alyssa Melvin, Marley Shull, and Camdyn Hayes all explored and learned about many opportunities and all the amazing jobs you can be apart of in the hospital. Physics Class to Gun Range

Mrs. Beck's Physics students went out to the gun range in Shenandoah with SRO Logan Roberts for a lab.  The purpose of the lab is to use the motion of a projectile to determine its initial velocity.  Officer Roberts fired a round from a weapon into a baseball. Spring Celebrating Art Winners

Sidney JH & HS art students recently participated in the annual Spring Celebrating Art Contest. This online art competition, sponsored by Blick Art Materials, invites selected students to have their artwork published in their book. Only about 30% of entries received are invited to be published. SAC Museum

Mrs. Beck's 9th Grade class took a field trip to the SAC Museum.  The students learned about forces and energy  from the Leonardo DaVinci exhibit of machines.  The kids learned alot and had a great time!

Earth Day Activity

Biology students in Rhonda Almquist's Classroom participated in an Earth Day activity on April 22.  The activity was organized by Matt and Amanda Dollison and several other NRCS employees as well as students Mason Dovel, Trevor Contreas-Bohlen, and Jarek Lindner. Students met at a site South of Hamburg to remove wire cages from trees and then went to a water structure by Percival to remove trash.  The efforts . . .
