The Sidney Cowgirl volleyball team attended a two day team camp at Iowa State University.  The Cowgirls ended up 4th out of 14 teams in the Gold Division against some tough competition. The team finished 2nd in pool play which qualified them for the Gold Tournament in the Gold Division. They beat Waterloo East and Elmwood-Murdock with the one pool play and loss to Sumner-Fredericksburg. In tournament play, the Cowgirls beat North Polk 26-24 and 25-23. They lost the next match to the eventual Gold Tournament Champions Waukee Northwest in three 12-25, 25-23, 14-16. The next match against North Tama would place the Cowgirls 4th as they lost again in 3 sets, 25-17, 23-25, 6-15. Head Coach, Amy McClintock commented that it was a great two days and the girls showed a lot tenacity and resiliency.  Awesome job Cowgirls!
