Physics Class to Gun Range

Mrs. Beck's Physics students went out to the gun range in Shenandoah with SRO Logan Roberts for a lab. The purpose of the lab is to use the motion of a projectile to determine its initial velocity. Officer Roberts fired a round from a weapon into a baseball. The students then measured the distance the ball travels vertically and horizontally . When the students got back to the classroom they were be able to determine the initial velocity of the bullet using kinematic equations.
What a great experiment!
