BPA Students Compete at State
Mrs. Madison's High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) group recently showcased their talents at the state competition in Des Moines. The event highlighted the students' dedication and expertise in various business disciplines, underscoring the importance of extracurricular activities in fostering essential skills for future careers.
Among notable achievements, Braedon Godfread secured 3rd place in Banking and Finance, while Averie Buttercase excelled with a 2nd place finish in Health Administration Procedures and a commendable 3rd in Digital Marketing Concepts. Macey Graham distinguished herself by achieving 1st place in Digital Marketing Concepts, demonstrating exceptional proficiency.
The Financial Analysis Team, comprising Braedon Godfread, Kolt Payne, and Zach Boyd, placed 4th overall. Additionally, Alyssa Dowling earned an impressive 8th place in Health Administration Procedures. Other noteworthy placements included Maddie Hume (10th in Digital Communications and Design Concepts), Carter Jorgensen (9th in Banking and Finance), and Kolt Payne (10th in Banking and Finance).
Moreover, Michael Hensley achieved 8th place in Financial Math and Analysis Concepts. The Small Business Management Team of Michael Hensley, Carter Jorgensen, and Calvin Johnson finished strong in 5th place. These accomplishments reflect not only individual talent but also the collaborative spirit fostered within Sidney High School's BPA program.
The success of these students is a testament to their hard work and commitment to excellence. Their achievements at the state competition serve as an inspiration for future participants while highlighting the value of developing practical skills through competitive experiences within the realm of business education.
